By now everybody but everybody knows that the coolest traditional T-style guitar is the T Classic, and has been such for a long time now. Out of 36 “T” guitars tested in Guitar Player Magazine’s “Tele Shoot Out” in the July 1993 issue, the T Classic won it all!
One of these is what you play when you want ripping "T" tones that jump to the forefront of the mix while being supported by rich low-mids.
Traditional control plate plays host to a 3-Way or 5-Way layout that will deliver so many sounds you will have to add songs to your set list to use them all. Solid or hollow body chambers.
Swamp Ash Body
The other so-called “vintage wood”, its usage began in single cut-away guitars during the early 50's.
Tone: It has a rather scooped out midrange tone with a robust low, low end and beautifully musical sparkling highs. The type of ash we use is Swamp Ash. It is lighter in weight and more porous, producing a timbre that is usually richer and less harsh than heavier ash. A super musical and multifaceted tone emphasizing an abundance of soft, sparkling, high end and rich, low-low end frequencies.
60’s Vibe Neck: The defining character of the 60’s Vibe neck is an increase in depth as your hand moves from 1st to 12 fret. With an early 60’s style taper, it is considered a medium-depth neck at the first few frets and becomes a substantial neck when you grab a handful in the upper regions of the fretboard.
- -.020 60's Vibe: (affectionately known as 62 Pete) :.815-inch at the first fret to .940 at the 12th fret
Pickups:
SC Series: The most musical S size single coil, hum-canceling, pickups ever heard—a real breakthrough—even richer than real vintage coils with equal effervescence, highlighted by sweet, soft and lush highs.
SC1: Slightly more than vintage level, single coil sound, hum-canceling (great for neck and middle application).
